Hoooowdy to all my Junior Deputy friends from Deputy Dog Hoot,
Sheriff Ricochet is doing it again, he’s putting together the Calico Cowboy Rendezvous that’s happening this weekend (June 5th, and 6th), and it worries me when he works so hard, and he doesn’t have much time to spend with me.
I heard hem telling some visitors at Calico that the Cowboy Rendezvous is going to be a big one (about 100 cowboys), with shoot outs every 30 minutes. There is allot of fun stuff for kids to do too, like bubble gum blowing contest, and the nickels in the hay. Of course he is going to be swearing in more Junior Deputy’s. For the cowboys he has put together the first in Calico, The Monty Laird Memorial Calico Saloon Shoot out, he called it Monty Laird Memorial because a friend of his passed on, and he wanted to keep his name alive forever. There will be encampments all over town, do you know what an encampment is? It’s were the cowboys show everyone how the cowboys used to camp in the old days.
A chuck wagon will be cooking the grub, dinner Saturday night. I like to sit and look at the cowboy when they eat, because the give me their left overs, and sometimes they drop their plate and I get to clean up the mess. There is going to be two weddings on Saturday, with a dance. I like to watch the cowboys dance because they jump around like a bunch of idiots, it makes me laugh and feel happy inside.
The ladies have big beautiful dresses on that looks like they take allot of time to put together, but they are so pretty and the ladies are so nice to me. I told Miss Kitty that she ought to dress up, but she just looked at me and hissed. That would be funny looking to see her in a dress. Ha, Ha.
Little Paw is getting bigger, if you don’t know Little Paw he is Little Foot’s puppy, so now everyone is calling him Junior Deputy Dog. I don’t know if I like it, but that’s the way it goes, I got no say in it, but I can teach him how to be a good Deputy Dog, if he’ll listen.
Well Sheriff Ricochet is lookin for something, maybe I can help, so I’ll say goodbye for now, and I’ll talk to you later.
Your Friend,; Deputy Dog Hoot
