Sheriff Ricochet was the Sheriff of Calico Ghost Town for approx 5 years. He was responsible for the Calico Junior Deputy program and had 3,000 Junior Deputies active in the program.

Deputy Dog Hoot

Deputy Dog Hoot is quite a dog. He’s not just a dog he was the Deputy of Calico. He’s the only dog I know that knows how to type. He types a once a month letter to all the kids just go to the kid’s page to read this month’s letter.

Sheriff Ricochet & Cactus Kate

Sheriff Ricochet and Cactus Kate have been Calico fixtures for a long time. Simple things like watching the sunrise amaze them with its beauty, and they give thanks to the Great Spirit.

Just look at it; it’s beautiful, or maybe I’m saying “Here comes the Mansflow gang”, “arm yourselves.

R&B’s chuck wagon is an example of the way the pioneers cooked on the trail. R&B cooks for the cowboys at quite a few events. This one was at Trails End (2005).

This lovely lady is Ma Earp, Wyatt’s Ma. She and “The Law Dogs N Ladies” like to get out and join us at different functions. You know Wyatt; Ma likes me best.

This is Coon Creek, one of the many vendors that participate in the many cowboy events around the western United States. Vendors are important to us, because, just like in the old days, they supply us with our wares. This photo was taken at Trail Town 2005.

Pioneer Cooking tastes so good. If you’ve ever had a cherry cobbler made in a Dutch oven, over an open fire, you know what I’m talkin about.

There’s Ringo, He’s been up to no good with the gang called the Cowboys. I’m sure you’ve heard about them, from the Arizona territory. This photo was taken at Tombstone, at the OK Corral, 2005. Where the group “The Law Dogs N Ladies” preformed.

Snake Dancer is on the prowl. His Native American blood heightens his senses. It’s got to be one of two things, either whisky or food. I try to keep on his good side, because it’s hard to sleep with one eye open. Don’t cross him when he’s playin cards.

Here’s one to look out for. He’s known as Sonora. He leads the gang called “The Cross Creek Cowboys”. He’s easy to recognize, he’s the one always laughing. I here he killed his mother for snoring, and laughed about it. Don’t look him in the eye; he’ll still your soul. I know he’s a low down dirty scoundrel, but I’ve never been able to prove it. Not yet anyway. I think I have him figured out finally, the next time I here of a robbery I will wait at the border, because that’s where he heads after a holdup.

Violyn child

This little girl plyed for tips at the Barstow Mojave Trail Days 2006. This festival is for the families and proceeds go to youth in the locla area.

Native American Drummers

The Native American Indians were a very important part of the old west. They showed us the way through the desert, and where to find water. The term Mojave Trail was named after the Mojave Indians of the Colorado River area. In this photo they sing songs of worship and joy to the Great Spirit.

Fence Post & $2 Nail

Henry Fencepost takes a break from playing the piano to enjoy a hug from Two Dallor Nail the local saloon girl, but she always carries that shotgun. It’s a good thing that his wife Joann doesn’t know what he’s up too. She’s been known to swing the frying pan pretty good.

Gunfights are a big draw to our events

The gunfights are a big draw to our events. Here a group called “The Law Dogs N Ladies” show off their talent as they act out scenes from the movie Tombstone. We have groups from all over the western U.S. compete for cash and prizes in the Stunt Gunfight Competitions. Also celebrities sign autographs and show off the stuff that got them famous in the movies and doing stunts for the movies.

A group picture from the Barstow art Fair 2005

These guys and gals pose for the camera as photographers take pictures at the Barstow Art and Photo Fair. For film and still photography we go out of our way to get you the pictures you want; just ask.
