Cherokee Jim Babcock Gunfight Stunt Competition

March 1^rst and 2^nd, 2008

At: the 2008 Mojave Trail Days Celebration

Date and time: Saturday March 1^rst. starting at 9:30 am. Sharp with a drawing for starting position at 10:oo am.

Location: The Historic Harvey House, Barstow Ca.

Entry Fee: $50.00 Per Team (Teams may be any gunfight team from 2-20 people)

Due to a very heavy Schedule of events, this competition will be limited to the FIRST (10) Teams entered only.

Skits will be no longer than 15 min. in length with a 10 min. break maximum between skits.

In the Event of a tie, a run off will be held following the competition when the scores are tallied. This is a (1) one skit event, awards and prize money will be given to the winners at the Casino/Dance held at the Harvey House Saturday Evening.

ALL Entry Fees……. will be returned 100% as prize money with sponsors donation prize money added

There will be Three judges (3) you will be Judged on….. Skit presentation ,,,Period Dress,,, use of props including the stunt town of “Bloody Gulch “,,, Safety ,,, and of course stunts and fights. This event is on Dirt, there is no grass.

Depending on entries, Prize money will be paid from 3 to 5 places , with trophies for 1^st – 2^nd – and 3^rd. There will be certificates for all dressed out characters .

This is a fun event and a Memorial. Show your support. Come meet the old time celebrities and Honor a pioneer gunfighter and Hollywood Stuntmen’s Hall of Fame member that helped set the standards to what we do today in keeping the Wild West Alive, and show your support to the children’s charities (Happy Trails, Boys & Girls Club, and many more) we are working to help.
